Louis Vuitton Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière chose to introduce his last collection in Palm Springs, California.
The sweet sunset light made this Resort 2016 collection even more attractive and emphasized its oriental touch.
The collection featured voluminous skirts, with long and fluid shapes, precious embroideries and rare materials, belted figures reminding of kaftan style. It was particularly inspiring for women seeking modest fashion ideas. Maxi skirts were worn with sneakers for a more casual look or cut into leather, it-fabric of the house. There were also the flowy and silky extra-flare pants, ideal to feel the summer breeze and still look sophisticated.
What we really loved is the paradoxical mix of romantic volumes with rebel details, for example the pastel toned blouses with leather and studded strapping around the waist. All in all, the collection was stunning and impressive with precision and delicacy.
