#ClimateCatwalk

A digital initiative launched by husband and wife team Amber and Giovanni Testino. This venture has been created to highlight environmental concerns, at the conference in United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris.

The Testinos, who have many famous friends in the fashion industry, including Giovanni’s brother Mario Testino, Mert Alas, Charlotte TilburyNatalia Vodianova, Elisa Sednaoui and Jefferson Hack have filmed videos on Instagram. Using hashtag: #COP21 Paris Climate Action Now! #ClimateCatwalk #ClimateMarch and also tagging friends to encourage them to post this campaign.

Both Husband and wife had agreed to join a rally on climate change but had it had to be cancelled to do to attacks in the Paris. As a result of this the idea of a digital project had been created. Filming a walk from left to right using their iPhone so that the final video uploaded to Instagram, will resemble a lineup of models on a catwalk, walking toward a sustainable future.

Amber Testino has said- “We thought, why don’t we reach out to people in our industry and call them to be part of an online march? If people don’t wake up and say something about this or do something about this, we’re going to miss the chance and it’s going to be too late,”

This project has been supported by the Art Partner agency, which is run by the Testinos.
